The course will enrich the participant’s knowledge and skills through contemporary dance and movement techniques, personally taught by award-winning choreographer Carlon Josol.

Meet your Instructor

Carlon Josol


  • Carlon is a senior artist-teacher of the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA). He is a dancer, award winning choreographer and actor for stage, film and television.


  • He trained under Philippine National Artist for Dance, Ramon Obusan, and soon became a member of the Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group.


  • The only Filipino cast member in International production MAHABHARATA 2016 to 2020. Original cast member of the Hit musical RAK OF AEGIS.


  • As an actor/choreographer, his notable works include Tanghalang Pilipino’s: Himala the Musical, Zsa Zsa Zaturnah Ze Muzikal, R’meo Luvs Dew-lhiett, Noli Me Tangere, Prinsipe ng Buwan, Anatomiya ng Pag-ibig, A Walk to Remember and Pinocchio; PETA’s: RAK OF AEGIS, William, Si juan Tamad ang Diablo at ang Limang milyong boto, Karaoke Dreams, Pasaporte, Juan Tamad, Batang Rizal, Lola Basyang and Ismail at Isabel. 


  • He won Outstanding Choreography at 2010 Philstage Buhay Awards for Theater, which he also won in 2011.


  • He was featured in CINEMALAYA FILM FESTIVALS full-length entry “Purok 7” “Barako” and in the short films “PANGGARIS” and ‘’MUSA” "Ang BABAE sa SEPTIC TANK" as choreographer and actor.


  • Actor and choreographer of 2013 Ricky Lee and Vincent de jesus’s HIMALA the musical the 10th year concert celebration.


  • He is also a resident instructor for movement and acting at Asian Academy of Television Arts. As an educator, he has facilitated the 2006 and 2007 CCP – Tanghalang Pilipino Teen Theater Workshop and PETA’s 2008 to 2014 Creative Dance Theater Workshop. STAR MAGIC 2017. Movement for Actors for AAAI 2018. Dance Theater class for FEU Theater Guild 2014 to 2018. PETA Theater Arts class 2018.

  • How do I stream the course?

    On the day of your Live Learning Series, click on your dashboard and then your course. This will automatically take you to your course player which will provide you with three options to join the Zoom meeting.

  • Will there be recordings available after the course?

    Yes, recordings will be uploaded within 48 hours after the workshop in your course player. You will have lifetime access to these recordings anytime you want!

  • How do I get my certificate?

    Make sure you are logged in to your Esme account. Access this link: https://www.esme.ph/pages/live-learning-series. In the upper left side of the page, click the button "watch and get certificate" In the list of webinars in the series, click your desired title. Click the "complete and continue" button in every lesson in the webinar until you have completed it 100%. You can now generate your certificate by clicking the button that will pop up once you have completed the course.
