About our Guest

Ramona Liza Gabriel Barbaso

Ramona Liza Barbaso has been a child rights and healing arts advocate for more than a decade. She has been a volunteer, child therapist, and community organizer. 

Through her advocacies, she has specialized in capacity-building, psychosocial intervention, and training and facilitation. 

She graduated from the Ateneo de Zamboanga University in 2004 with a degree in Psychology, majoring in Counselling and Human Resource Development. She then completed her Bachelor of Laws in Andres Bonifacio College in 2007. 

In 2005, she became a street-based therapist under the TAMBAYAN Center for Children’s Rights, Inc., then a psychologist in the Dipolog City Drop-In Center for Children. 

She was also a visual arts facilitator in the Ateneo Center for Culture and Arts in 2016. In 2008, she founded Bee Hive/Wiz Hobby Shop, a social enterprise that designs and conducts community-building activities and social innovations. 

She believes that by utilizing art as an avenue for self-expression, we can not only transform ourselves, but transform the world too.
