John Mark Napao is the President and Founder of SOLAR Hope, an NGO that aims to provide sustainable solar solutions to the marginalized communities in the Philippines. He is also a Climate Reality Leader for The Climate Reality Project. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines-Diliman with a degree in Electrical Engineering and was awarded with Jose C. Torres for Student Excellence in Electrical Engineering.

He is currently working as a Cost Control Senior Engineer in National Grid Corporation of the Philippines as his day job to support his daily living and the NGO. He has received the Planet Pillar Award for SOLAR Hope in the SDG Awards. He has also taken part in the iVolunteerPH’s Social Innovation Challenge 2020 and New Energy Nexus Philippines’ 1st Cohort Incubation Program.
